American cybersecurity technology company, CrowdStrike, has announced a strategic partnership with British multinational telecommunications and IT services company, BT, to provide UK SMBs with the same AI-powered protection as some of the world’s most prominent enterprises. To achieve this, the two companies are launching BT Business Antivirus Detect and Respond, a cybersecurity service built on CrowdStrike’s Falcon Go platform.
Data from CrowdStrike’s State of SMB Cybersecurity Survey highlights the limited resources and in-house expertise many SMBs have to tackle growing cyber risks, with only 11% currently using AI-driven security solutions.
CrowdStrike and BT aim to address this issue, helping stop ransomware and security breaches using the BT Business Antivirus Detect and Respond service. Users will get to access BT security experts who can provide support for protection, installation, and incident responses.
Chris Sims, chief commercial officer at BT Business, commented on this latest partnership and rollout of the cybersecurity platform. “It’s easy to install, simple to use, and built to protect – so businesses can stay focused on what matters most.”
According to Daniel Bernard, CrowdStrike’s chief business officer, the partnership will transform cybersecurity into “a business advantage” for UK SMBs.
As cyber threats continue to increase and become more advanced, demand for AI-driven security also grows. CrowdStrike and BT aim to find more effective ways to detect and respond to attacks before they cause any damage for traditionally less-protected SMBs.
